Bryan McElwee is a Principal at AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm focusing on Aerospace, Defense & Government Services, Space, Power & Utility Services and Specialty Industrial markets. He focuses on new investment thesis development, origination, executing and monitoring AE Industrial’s portfolio investments across the firm’s areas of focus. Prior to joining the investment team at AE Industrial, Bryan was a consultant at McKinsey focusing on Aerospace & Defense. Prior to McKinsey, Bryan worked at GE Aviation in various roles including design engineering, operations management within assembly, test, and overhaul and lean / six-sigma.
Bryan supports multiple AE Industrial’s aerospace portfolio companies including those operating in the new build, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and specialty materials space. Bryan earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
